The original sign maker – quality craftsmanship since 1971.
Signway’s roots date back to 1968 when founder Norm Hansen painted his first Christmas window display. The eldest of son in a family of 11 siblings, he perfected his trade and stirred a passion for sign that spread through to his younger brothers. This resulted in a family with steeped in signage. It is no wonder the name Hansen has become synonymous with signs across Canada.
Norm started his first sign shop in Moncton in 1971 that bore the Hansen name. Towards the end of the decade, the promise of economic prosperity in the West temporarily lured Norm and his family away. There the sign master continued his art with Coca Cola and Calaway Park.
In the early 90’s, family ties urged Norm and his family home to Moncton. The family tradition continued as Norm enlisted the help of his eldest son Troy; together they started Signway in 1994. Eight years later, younger son Derek joined the company. Collectively, they have taken sign making in Moncton to new heights. With both sons standing at 6 foot five, their tall stature is definitely an asset in their chosen trade.

Norm Hansen – Norm is the sign man who started a sign legacy. Over thirty years of hand crafting thousands of signs large and small. He has made a sign for just about anything you can imagine. Having seen it all, he is now just as comfortable producing digital logos and designs on high tech equipment as he is stepping back to basic with a brush to create some truly unique one-of –a- kind creations.
Troy Hansen - Troy loves being the sign guy. It is in his blood. His entrepreneurial spirit and sharp sense of humour have made him well known throughout the business community. He certainly knows his way around a sign. He is a certified electrical sign engineer, project manager, account manager, designer, builder and often installer of the completed work. Although born in Moncton, he spent much of his formative years in Calgary. He now calls Riverview home and is a husband and proud father of two beautiful little girls.
Derek Hansen – Derek joined his brother and father at Signway after completing his graphic design program in college. His patience for detail is one of the greatest strengths. He has a creative spark and the love of drawing inherited from his father.
